the trouble with “when”...

the trouble with “when”...

I'll be happy when…

Welcome to this week's Thought Gem — your reminder to pause, breathe, and choose your focus.

When I lose those last ten pounds. When I make more money. When I find the perfect relationship. When I finally get my sh*t together.

Sound familiar?

It's funny how we can spend so much of our lives waiting for some future version of ourselves to show up before we give ourselves permission to be happy.

And then we get there.

And somehow there's another when waiting for us. I mean, seriously. Who keeps moving the goalposts around here?

I'm all for having dreams and goals. Give me ALL the things to look forward to. But I don't want to spend my life treating today like the waiting room for something better.

What if we could want more for ourselves and still love the life we're living right now?

Maybe we don't have to wait until everything is just right to decide we're already more than worthy of a beautiful life.

Your invitation for this week:
Catch yourself the next time you think, “I'll be happy when…” and ask, “What's stopping me from enjoying a little of that happiness right now?” You might be surprised by your answer.

And speaking of all those things we think we need to fix about ourselves…

On Wednesday's podcast, I'm chatting with Amber Romaniuk, an emotional eating, digestive health, and hormone expert, about what happens when we stop fighting our bodies and start understanding ourselves. It's quite a story.

Happy Sunday! 💕

And can we just acknowledge that it's NOVEMBER FIRST?! Wasn't it July, like, five minutes ago?

xoxo,
Tracy

Life is beautiful. Get your fix.

P.S. It's not too late to join our girls' night with author Kristy Halvorsen on November 12! Come meet Kristy, chat about her memoir Perfect Unfolding, and enjoy some good conversation. Haven't finished the book? No worries. We'd love to see you!
