When’s the last time you actually breathed? Like fully. Deeply. On purpose.
Most of us are running around barely inhaling like we’re trying not to be a burden. Shallow chest breaths while doing 9 million things. Meanwhile, our nervous systems are fried, our cortisol is throwing a rave, and we’re wondering why we feel like we might snap if someone asks us what’s for dinner one more time.
Your breath? It’s free, it’s available 24/7, and it might be the most underrated superpower we’ve got.
Deep breathing isn’t just woo-woo wellness fluff. Not that there's anything wrong with woo-woo wellness fluff 😘. It actually shifts your whole chemistry. It calms your nervous system, clears your mind, and helps your body process the stuff your brain is too tired to untangle.
You want more peace, clarity, and “I’ve got this” energy? Start breathing like you mean it.
Your invitation this week:
Try this one thing: notice how you’re breathing when no one’s watching.
Are you shallow? Tight? Holding your breath like it’s going to help you power through? It won’t. Pause. Breathe all the way into your belly. Let your shoulders drop. Let your exhale be loud if it needs to. You don’t have to earn your oxygen.
Next week’s podcast episode is a breath of fresh air. I’m joined by Siri Baruch Thornton—former actress turned breathwork facilitator—who cracked me wide open (literally had me crying into a pillow). We’re talking breath, presence, healing, and why the stuff that looks weird from the outside is sometimes exactly what your soul’s been begging for.
Until then, inhale like you love yourself.
Inhaling & exhaling,
xoxo Tracy
P.S. To every wild, wonderful woman who said yes to Delusional June—thank you. I LOVED hearing your voice notes, reading your texts, feeling your fire. Don’t stop now. Promise me you’ll keep going. The magic doesn’t disappear just because June does.
