forgot. not sorry.

forgot. not sorry.

I forgot to write this on Sunday.

Welcome to this week's Thought Gem — your reminder to pause, breathe, and choose your focus.

My eldest son is home from LA for the weekend and we spent Saturday at Jazz Fest in Chicago listening to the music of Miles Davis under an open pavilion with the skyline behind us. My second son was able to join us too. The younger two could not make it, one working, one off at college. Getting all four of them in the same place at the same time is basically herding cats. But we had two of them and I was grateful.

Free music. Fireworks over the city. People from every walk of life just existing together in the same moment. It was certainly a beautiful fix. And I was so completely in it that I forgot I had a newsletter to write.

I am choosing to see that as a win.

This week's podcast guest actually scanned my energy live on the show. A body and mind scan using technology I had never heard of, developed from Stanford research, medically certified in Germany, and somehow available through a photo. And what it showed me was that even in the middle of everything that feels heavy, there is a lot of light in there. More than I give myself credit for.

Your invitation for this week:
Find one moment where you let yourself be so fully in something beautiful that everything else falls away. Even just for an hour. Especially for an hour.

Catch you Wednesday,
xo Tracy
