I always tell myself it is just going to be a quick walk around the block.
Welcome to this week's Thought Gem — your reminder to pause, breathe, and choose your focus.
It never is. Something pulls me around one more corner, down one more path I have not tried, and suddenly I have been gone for miles. My left foot tendon has been unusually vocal about all of this lately, which has made me pay attention to walking in a way I never did when it felt effortless. Every step a little more noticed. Every mile a little more earned.
I spent today in my backyard. Groundhog. Deer. Birds doing whatever birds do on a slow summer afternoon. My neighbor once called our community ecologically wealthy (I am so so grateful) and I thought about that today while I watched everything just exist without an agenda.
There is something about following a pull with no plan and no destination that you cannot explain. Just a tickle that says keep going and you listen because something in you already knows.
This week's podcast guest has a word for that. And a life that proves where it can take you.
Your invitation for this week:
The next time something pulls at you without a clear reason, follow it just a little further than you normally would.
Catch you Wednesday,
xo Tracy
