Yesterday I almost showed up to a wedding celebration five hours early.

Welcome to this week’s Thought Gem—your reminder to pause, breathe and choose your focus.

I had it in my calendar at noon. My son very calmly informed me it started at five. I had to sit with the image of my husband and me showing up at these poor people’s home in the middle of their Saturday morning like we owned the place.

The confidence with which I was wrong was impressive.

It made me think about how often we assume we already know something. How certain we are. And how sometimes we are five hours off.

This is the neighborhood I want to live in this week. Self-study. Knowing yourself beyond your preferences, quirks and go-to coffee order. Beyond the labels and roles you can rattle off without thinking.

Who are you underneath all of that?

That's a question I invite you to sit with a bit.

I have spent much of my life studying myself. Astrology. Myers-Briggs. DISC. The Enneagram. Books. Courses. Always one more system, one more answer. And then Human Design found me and something clicked at a level the others had not quite reached.

And still, there is more to discover. The quest for self-knowledge has no finish line. Which is kind of the whole point.

Svadhyaya, the fourth Niyama, is often translated as self-study. This week, it is asking one simple question:

How well do you actually know yourself?

Your invitation this week
Get curious about something you’ve believed about yourself for years.

Look at it again. Is it true? Is it still true? Is it yours?

See what you notice.

Then meet me back here on Wednesday. I’m taking this conversation about self-study deeper on the A Beautiful Fix podcast. I’ll also share the first little glimpse of something I’ve been creating around what can happen when a woman gives herself an entire season of her own attention.

Catch you then,
xo Tracy
