anyone else exhausted?

anyone else exhausted?

I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted. I always look forward to the holidays — family time, breaks from the usual, fun — but this year I feel worn out. I’m in a full‑on sugar coma. I didn’t even think that was possible, but apparently my never‑ending sweet tooth met its match.

Normally I would devour every sweet thing in the house — cake, pie, cookies, egg nog — you name it. This week? I finally hit my sugar limit. I didn't think that was possible. I walk by them and roll my eyes. Anyone else ready for holiday eating to be behind them? Because I need to get back on a treadmill, back on my yoga mat, pick up some weights I haven’t picked up all year — something. Gluttony is what I'm feeling. Big time!

So I don’t know about you, but as we slide into next week and head toward the new year, I’m craving some nada. I want a full meal of vegetables just to counteract the damage I’ve done to my diet. I want to curl up with books I’ve barely touched.

I want to feel… wait for it… bored. Yes — boredom. I want the luxury of boredom next week.

Whether you’re heading back to work or still on holiday, promise me one thing: carve out some time to do nothing, or something just for you — guilt and shame optional.

Do it slow. Do it quietly. Do it without apologizing.

Speaking of shame… next week on the podcast, to celebrate our 50th episode (how is that possible), I’m going to reshare a panel discussion I was on all about Shame. The brilliant host, Dana Hunter Fradella, has this uncanny ability to get you to say the things you didn’t even know you were keeping inside. I honestly didn’t think Shame was a “thing” for me. Turns out… it is. Surprise! But that’s part of why we’re letting a lot of that go in 2026.

So here’s your Thought Gem for the week:
Rest. No agenda. No pressure. Just presence.
Do a little nothing. Do a little you.

And do it with zero guilt.

Catch you Wednesday,
xo Tracy
