ahhh... the Lake House

ahhh... the Lake House

The life you actually want does not always require blowing up the one you already have.

Welcome to this week's Thought Gem — your reminder to pause, breathe, and choose your focus.

This week I am sitting down with Kim Waller, a woman who spent decades in serious corporate leadership and somehow still found room, on her own time, to build something entirely separate from it. A lake house she calls the House of Healing.

I actually know that house. I co-hosted my very first retreat there. I remember standing inside, mid-January, freezing outside, completely buzzing with nerves and excitement waiting for the guests to arrive, wondering if I had any business doing what I was about to do. It turned out to be one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.

What gets me about Kim's story is that she did not build that house after leaving her career. She built it alongside it, quietly, for years, never choosing one life over the other. She just kept adding to what she already had until eventually it became something solid enough to retire into.

Sometimes that is all it takes. Small additions. A pocket of time here, a decision there. All of it building toward something.

Your invitation for this week:
Notice one small thing you might be adding to your own life right now, even if you have not given it a name yet.

We will dive deeper into Kim's remarkable story on Wednesday.

Catch you Wednesday,
xo Tracy
